The Earth4Energy Kit:

  • Teaches you how to build residential scale wind turbines.
  • Teaches you how to build solar electric panels yourself.
  • Teaches you how to install solar panels (your own or ready-built).
  • Includes Bonus Materials on energy use, bio-ethanol, and more.
  • Includes instantly downloadable instruction manuals.
  • Includes instantly viewable instructional videos.
  • Includes lifetime updates at no further cost.
  • Is priced in the mid-range of the programs reviewed here.

  • The Earth4Energy Kit leads you step by step in constructing your own power systems, using materials that are readily available lying around your garage, at your local hardware store, or online. It is remarkable that so much information is included in this kit, including how-to videos, yet the package is priced below that of the MakePower package, discussed below. Of the three programs we reviewed, the Earth4Energy Kit is hands-down the best deal.

Click here to visit Make Power At Home

Make Power At Home is a good resource for people interested in building their own small solar and wind electric systems. Unfortunately, it does not include instructional videos or bonus materials, and it is priced higher (although the price is still very reasonable) than the Earth4Energy Kit.

Click here to visit DIY Home Solar Power

DIY Home Solar Power is an excellent resource for do-it-yourselfers who are primarily interested in building solar electric systems for their home and personal use. The PDF instruction manual is clear and concise and provides valuable tips for constructing solar panels from scratch and for installing them or ready-built ones. It is a good deal for its low price, but DIY Home Solar Power does not include information on wind turbines, bio-fuels or the lifetime updates that come with the Earth4Energy Kit for just a few dollars more.

Note: Working with electricity requires a basic knowledge of the use of tools and electrical safety. If you want to build your own home energy systems, be sure to take the time to learn about basic electrical installations and use of tools before you start handling "hot" circuitry!

Of the three do-it-yourself home energy resources we investigated, The Earth4Energy Kit is the best value. It has the best content and instructional materials and is offered at a remarkably low price. All of the materials in the kit are instantly downloadable to your computer, so you can get started on your personal path to energy freedom with just a few clicks of your mouse!
